Surfrider foundation, Sunshine Coast Branch, organises the Eco Challenge Event each year, to raise funds for our mission! From the efforts of the 2013 Eco Challenge, roughly 2,000 was raised, and from this we will be organising, "Clean Up Double Island Point", going into Schools, to promote the "Rise above Plastics" theme, and in general, pay for the B.B.Q's, that we have for free, for the volunteers, after our monthly beach Clean ups at Mooloolaba. This project has been assisted through the Sunshine Coast Council Grants Program.
